Asarulislam Syed
Amir of Jannat Pakistan Party, Asarulislam Syed,
M.D, Neurologist and Psychiatrist, lives in California, USA. Besides
enjoying a deep interest in cognitive sciences and human behavior, he
has held a lifelong interest in The Quran, and has devoted himself,
pondering over The Final Message. A non-conformist Muslim , he has no
religious sectarian affiliation or denomination. He delivers the
rational message of The Quran from Shalimar Radio, Los Angeles, every
Saturday at noon on Channel 900 AM.
Born and raised in Lahore, his family comes from Tibba Syedan, Sialkot. His parents, Dr. Zubaida Gilani and Brigadier Habibus Saqlain, were both physicians from King Edward Medical College Lahore. His grandfather, Hafiz Syed Mohammed Isaac, a pupil of the renowned Syed Mir Hasan, Professor of Arabic at Scotch Mission School & Murray College, Sialkot, imparted to him, his first complete discourse (Dars) on translation and concepts of The Quran.
While a medical student in Lahore in the 70’s, Asarulislam formally studied The Quran at the Tolu-e-Islam Quranic Education Center in Lahore, Pakistan. He was a dedicated pupil of Pakistan’s renowned Quranic scholar and QuaideAzam’s Political Advisor, Baba Ghulam Ahmed Parvez . Working as a physician in Saudi Arabia for seven years allowed him the opportunity to learn the Arabic language and metaphor, and develop a deeper understanding of the cultural and social settings of the lands which gave The Quran.
His wife Nayla Asar Syed, M.D., a Child Psychiatrist, is a graduate from Fatima Jinnah Medical College and Kansas University Medical Center. Married for 33 years, they live on a farm in Southern California. They have four children.
Asarulislam is an Abdalian, a Kemcolian, and a Jayhawk.

Ibtisam
Elahi Zaheer was born on 19 August `1971 and he is son of renowned
scholar Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer who was founder of Jamiat Ahle Hadith
Pakistan. Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer got his primary education from Cresescent
Model School and passed his matriculation from there .He than entered
Government college Lahore and Passed his pre engineering college exams
from there.He than entered famous Engineering university of
Lahore.During his graduation he memorised the Holy Quran and after
graduating from Engineering university he did masters in 11 subjects
which is a record in academic history of Pakistan

Aasiya Riaz
Aasiya Riaz, Joint Director of PILDAT coordinates various research projects within PILDAT and manages PILDAT’s projects and activities as PILDAT's co-director.
She has over 8 years’ experience of working in the field of research, management, analysis and coordination. She has been working in the areas of democratic and legislative strengthening; research on political and public policy issues; civil-military relations; dialogues between the Muslim World and the West and Electoral Process, etc. Trained in the field of media and political communication at the London School of Economics, UK, Aasiya has worked with the mainstream press and electronic media in Pakistan as well.
She was also a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy where she worked on US Think Tanks and the subject of Civil-Military Relations. Aasiya also graduated from the Stanford University, USA Course on Democracy, Development and Rule of Law in August 2007.

Roshaneh Zafar
Roshaneh Zafar Founder & Managing Director, Kashf Foundation
Ms Roshaneh Zafar is a graduate of the
Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA and also holds a
Masters degree in Development Economics from Yale University, USA. She
has worked with the World Bank as a women-in-development research associate on
the water and sanitation sectors. Ms Zafar founded Kashf
Foundation in 1996 after a chance meeting with Professor Yunus. She has
diverse skills in financial management, participatory appraisal techniques,

Andleeb Abbas has been involved in the field of training and consultancy for the last 12 years. Tasneem Peerzada
Tasneem Peerzada has had a varied and diverse professional career –it spans the entire spectrum from beginning as a primary and secondary school teacher, to a journalist, a playwright, a lyricist, a press and public relations coordinator, and last, but not least, a poet. After her professional origins in the educational establishment, Tasneem moved onto a more potent public forum by joining “The Daily Jang” as a journalist. At this leading Urdu language newspaper she worked in both the capacities of an editor and a featured columnist, incorporating all forms of current social and political issues in her writing.
She covered Television, Film, Theatre, and political personalities under human interest, reported on social and political dilemmas for awareness, and also covered fashion for the front pages of the media and entertainment sections. Tasneem later wove all these fundamental elements into a singular vocational focus when she joined the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop as a company director. Mahvash Waqar
Mahvash Waqar is a Pakistani artist and current band member of the Laal Band. She is the backup vocalist for the band. She has also been famous for a stint on the radio network as a RJ.
Mahvash studied Textile designing from the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan. She had a keen interest in music from the beginning. So, instead of continuing her studies she decided to join what was then a very new phenomenon of FM radio stations.
Mahvash began her music career in early 2007 when she decided to be a part of the newly formed Laal Band along with Haider Rehman, Aamir, Asif, Salman and Jamal. The band was formed in response to the 2007 sacking of judges by then President Pervez Musharraf.
Mahvash has played backup vocals for Laal band's debut album, Umeed e Sahar.

Fereeha Idrees
Born in Lahore, Fereeha Idrees did her Masters in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster, London. She’s been affiliated with the media industry since the last ten years. She started her career in 2000 and since then has gained tremendous experience as a writer, editor, documentary maker, journalist, producer and anchor. In January 2011, Fereeha took over SAMAA's primetime program 'News Beat'.
Fereeha's other interests include reading literature. She is also working with the Muslim Council of Britain, Evening Standard, Eastern Eye, Daily Mirror and blogs for The Guardian's Comment. Her documentary 'Unsung Heroes' was nominated for the Banff Awards.
